The M1 has an 8-core CPU with four high-efficiency cores and four high-performance cores along with an integrated GPU that has up to 8 cores. The newest iMac is the 24-inch iMac with Apple's M1 chip, which was announced in April 2021. Apple also sells a 2017 iMac model at the low end, but it lacks a 4K display and the upgraded internals you'll find in the 27-inch models. In August 2020, Apple introduced an updated 27-inch iMac lineup with 10th-generation Intel processors, more RAM, more SSD storage, faster AMD GPUs, and True Tone support for the display. With the colorful design changes introduced in M1 iMac this year, the differences between the two versions of the iMac are a bit easier to spot. When it comes to the iMac, Apple offers two distinct versions of its desktop computer: the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac, and the all-new 24-inch M1 iMac.
